Put GymLog on your home screen
There is nothing to download and no app store involved. GymLog runs in your browser, and every phone can pin it to the home screen, where it opens full-screen with its own icon — exactly like an installed app. It takes about fifteen seconds.
iPhone & iPadSafari
- 1Open GymLog in Safari.
- 2Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
- 3Scroll down the share sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
- 4Tap “Add”. The GymLog icon lands on your home screen.
On iPhone this only works from Safari — other browsers can't add a web app to the home screen.
AndroidChrome
- 1Open GymLog in Chrome.
- 2Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
- 3Tap “Add to Home screen”, then “Install”.
- 4Confirm — the icon appears on your home screen and in the app drawer.
Chrome often offers an “Install app” banner at the bottom of the page. Tapping it does exactly the same thing.
On a computer
On a desktop, Chrome and Edge show an install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar — GymLog then opens in its own window.
What you get — and what you don't
- +Its own icon, and a full-screen window with no browser bar in the way.
- +No store account, no install size, and no updates to install — you always have the current version.
- +You stay signed in, so the app opens straight on today's workout.
- −It still needs a connection: your workouts live on the server, so logging a set offline isn't possible. Lose signal and GymLog says so plainly instead of hanging.
